Something about Me

Hi there! This blog is for my course's Advertising & Design subject purpose. Fyi, I'm doing Degree in Communications at Sunway University 08/'12 intake. Nope, it's not like what you're thinking, you might probably thought of Mass Comm or Public Relation but I've gotta tell you this, it's completely(not so completely..) different than any of them. If everything goes smoothly, I'll be taking Corporate Communications in Year 2 while some of them might be taking Advertising & Design as we all are studying the same general things in Year 1.

So basically, this post is for my A&D lecturer, Mr. Deepak Menon, to further understand a lil' bit of his students' background. :p Check out his informative blog here. :)

Now, let's start off with the Interest part...
I have many interests. I love to eat, that's why I'm kinda particular in food, not that kind of choosy type, I just love eating good food. I love hanging out with people, meeting new people, socializing. I like giving ideas. I love music, which I couldn't leave without, well I guess most of us couldn't leave without music right? Like HOW ON EARTH?! lol. I love reading, actually. What more I like... I like watching romantic movies and comedy or RomCom! Haha.. that's all for my Interest part I guess.

Moving on, Dreams and Aspirations.
I combined them together 'cos I think they're the same thing or maybe Dream + Aspiration = Ambition
OR Dream=Aspiration=Ambition ...it's the same thing.
My dream is to be a successful person in my working field/industry. I wish to establish a company that provides top customer service trainings for firms/companies. I kinda came up with that after spending a few days working at The Guardian as a part timer. I don't know.. I just love offering customers help and make them feel satisfied. As for now, my current dream, I should say something that I wanna accomplish, is to be at Sydney and work for a month maybe. I wanna go alone. I'm going alone :) Also, I wish I could join some charity activities, such as visiting the poor countries, to understand more of their lives / to realize how well and blessed our life is.

I come from... my mom's womb. Hahaha just kidding but seriously. I come from Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. My childhood was spent growing up here with my younger and only brother cycling to the park every evening after school, with my parents, of course, but not until I was 10 years old. My parents had a divorce. No longer, my brother and I were brought to my mom's condo at Puchong Jaya. Therefore, I'm actually from two places :D Sometimes here sometimes there. You got it...

Hmm, the three experiences making the most lasting impression on me were (a) My most recent working experience at The Guardian. 'Though it was only a few days but it really impact me a lot. (b) I read an article in the National Geographic magazine (is this counted as an experience?) recently about child marriage. I'm shocked and surprised to know in this modern world today, there is still child marriage going on in a number of countries! It's illegal but the people were forced to set up marriage for their children with other families as a business trade for money because they are so poor. Some young girls aged around 8 to 13, had to marry men they have never seen before, and some of them had to marry widow man. This is so unfair to children! They have their rights too! I'm strongly against issues like this. Injustice issues. (c) The days after my parents divorced I guess. Nuuu it's not those i-hate-you-mom-and-dad-forever kind of unacceptable or miserable days, I just had to adapt days where my two most beloved would never live together under one roof, ever. I'm not sure whether it really impacted me that much, but I guess it does have at least some influence on me.

Most important circumstances....
i) Transferring from a independent chinese school to a national school after doing my form 3
ii) Remembering how rebellious I was back then when I was boarding in my former high school.
iii) When my aunt got cancer.
iv) Honestly, many circumstances in my life happened were equally important to me, they're all imprinted in my memory. From family to friends to relationship to schooling to part-timing to relatives... too many important circumstances to pen down. Maybe I need lots of pen and lots of toilet papers.

Till then. Good night!
