1. Which of the (9) types of advertising does the ad belong to?
It belongs to Brand Advertising as it creates an emotional connection with consumers, which leads to consumers loyalty.

2. The four (4) roles of advertising. Which are relevant for this ad?
This ad is relevant to its communication role of advertising as it is to inform its consumers about its product, V-Power, is bringing them a whole new experience of driving.

3. What does the ad. want the audience to do or not do?
The advertisement, obviously, wanted the audience to know that their product V-Power is able to give you the experience of driving a sports car not on the circuit but on the road.

4. Who is the target audience?
Middle and upper class male consumers especially men who love sports racing or racing as the ferrari in the video made them believe that by using Shell's V-Power, they are able to speed like a racing car.

NOTE: V-power racing is always 20sens more than the current ron97 price.
It has been said its the same ron just with better additives.

5. What are the target audience's needs, concerns and interest?
The target audience are the people who like car racing either the sound of racing sports car's engine where some would claim it as "orgasmic" or "sexy" or the own luxurious sports car itself like Ferrari where to many ppl it is the ultimate powerful and one of the most well-known sports car brand in the world. They wanted to know how well can V-Power perform with their car even if they are not driving a sports car.

6. What is the message?
Everyone can drive their car on the road like a Ferrari sports car on the circuit with Shell's V-Power as their fuel.

7. Discuss the message being conveyed.
V-Power is always more expensive than the common fuel price such as ron95 & ron97. The consumers need to know how well their car/vehicle can perform with V-Power comparing to the common fuels. They wanted to know whether are they able to enjoy a better quality by paying a relatively higher price. This is in terms of the worthy of the price given.

8. Who does the message appeal to?
To the people who love car racing or speeding. As in the ending part of the video, a person said "Shell V-Power, Ferrari fuel for the road". We only see such kind of sports car on the circuit, for example Formula-one circuit, and we hardly see them speeding on the roads or highways.

9. What is the desired communication outcome?
Consumers knowing the quality of V-Power.

10. What other communication channel is most effective?
Television.

It is true to life with a little puffery as one may not able to drive the same car at the same time in 5 different cities around the world.

16. Is the ad a slice-of-life, fear, humor, sex or other type of ad?

Yes because we do not often listen to such engine sound for that long.

20. Would you buy the product being advertised, why or why not?
Yes because it appeals to me and I would like to experience whether it is thrilling as it portrayed in the video.

21. Be sure to include your opinion (have a specific point of view, love it or hate it.)
I like this video commercial. It is very cool, and real, to hear a Ferrari sports car racing down the road where I thought it only belongs to the circuit. It just appeals to me that speeding like a racer can be done with V-Power.
